Legacy Plaza

“Legacy Plaza, consisting of the Texas Botanical Gardens and Native American Interpretive Center, the Pavilion, the Goldthwaite Welcome Center, the Gathering Place Educational Center, and Emily’s Garden for Children, was established to provide a dynamic, interactive, life-long learning experience while identifying and preserving the prehistoric and environmental aspects of this rural region of Texas. To that end, the Texas Botanical Garden contains only native plants and rescued artifacts from 7,000 to 10,000 years ago. The Native American Interpretive Center is a part of the gardens with informative signs and a mock-up of an ancient home in a village. The Pavilion, a large outdoor venue, overlooks it all.”
